How we handle the personal data you share through this site. Last updated 7 October 2026.

Who we are

Pixol Web Ltd ("Pixol", "we", "us") is a company registered in England and Wales, company number 12137265, with its registered office at 1 George Street, Snow Hill, Wolverhampton, WV2 4DG. We are the data controller for personal data collected through www.pixol.co.uk.

If you have a question about this policy or your data, get in touch through the contact page.

What we collect and why

When you send an enquiry

The contact form asks for your name and email address, and anything else you choose to tell us: your company, phone number and website, the services you're interested in, details about your project, your timing and a rough budget. We use this to reply to you and, if you become a client, to plan and run the project.

Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our work, and, where you ask us for a proposal, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract with you.

When you email us

If you email us, we keep the correspondence for as long as we need it to deal with your message, on the same basis.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site: which pages they visit, how long they stay, the device and browser they use, and roughly where they are. It sets two cookies, _ga and one starting _ga_, which last up to two years.

Google Analytics only runs if you choose "Allow" in the cookie banner, so our lawful basis is your consent. Until you do, nothing from Google loads and no analytics cookies are set. You can change your mind at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page, and if you switch analytics off we delete its cookies.

We remember your choice in your browser's local storage so we don't ask on every page, and we ask again after twelve months. There are no advertising or social media cookies on this site, and pages and fonts are served from our own site.

Who handles your data

We don't sell personal data, and we only share it with the providers below, who handle it on our instructions, or where the law requires us to.

  • Netlify hosts this site and receives and stores contact form submissions, then forwards them to us by email.
  • Google Workspace provides our email, so enquiries and any email you send us are stored there.
  • Google Analytics, only if you allow it, receives the details of your visit described above. We've switched off Google's advertising features for it, so the data is used for our site statistics, and Google keeps it for up to 14 months after your last visit.

Netlify and Google may process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is covered by the safeguards UK data protection law requires, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for up to two years, then delete them, unless you become a client. For clients we keep project correspondence for six years after the project ends, for accounting and legal reasons.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and ask us to pass it to someone else. To use any of these rights, get in touch through the contact page and we'll reply within a month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We'd appreciate the chance to put it right first.

Changes

We'll update this page when the way we handle data changes, and change the date at the top.
